DIVORCE DRAMA, Denise Richards from RHOBH is navigating yet another shift in her separation from Aaron Phypers after a judge directed her to pay a significant amount amid their ongoing dispute.

THE PRICE OF PARADISE LOST: DENISE RICHARDS ORDERED TO PAY AARON PHYPERS

LOS ANGELES — The “polished Hollywood romance” of Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers has officially dissolved into a high-stakes financial war. In a dramatic ruling on February 26, 2026, a Los Angeles judge ordered the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum to begin writing substantial checks to her estranged husband, despite the dark cloud of felony charges hanging over him.

Denise Richards ordered to pay ex Aaron Phypers staggering amount as divorce drags on

The suspicion that the divorce had turned into a “nightmare” was confirmed as a verified court order that establishes Richards as the primary breadwinner in this legal fallout.

Judge Nicole Bershon has ordered Richards to pay Phypers $5,000 per month in temporary spousal support. The payments are scheduled to begin on March 5, 2026, and will continue until a final settlement is reached.

While Phypers originally requested a staggering six-figure monthly sum, the court settled on $5,000 to cover his basic “status quo” expenses—including rent, car payments, and food. Phypers testified that his “wellness business operations” collapsed in late 2024, leaving him with only $200 in his bank account and a six-figure debt.

The financial pressure on Richards doesn’t end with the monthly stipend. The judge also ordered her to foot the bill for:

  • $25,000 for Phypers’ attorney fees.

  • $5,000 for a forensic accountant to scour their shared finances.

This $30,000 total must be paid in three installments of $10,000 through March, April, and May. However, the judge issued a strict “gag order” on the funds’ use: none of the money provided by Richards can be used for Phypers’ criminal defense.

The ruling has “startled” viewers and legal experts alike, given that Phypers is currently facing four felony counts, including injuring a spouse and dissuading a witness by force, stemming from an October 2025 arrest.

Richards has been granted a five-year restraining order against him, but California law often prioritizes “maintaining the status quo” during divorce proceedings, regardless of pending criminal cases. Phypers’ legal team argued successfully that since there has been “no criminal conviction,” his right to spousal support should remain intact.

Richards, who appeared in court looking composed in an all-black ensemble, reportedly told the judge, “I can’t afford it.” She testified that she had “blown through everything” earned during the marriage and was struggling to cover her own attorney’s retainers.

The “domino effect” of this outcome is already being felt on RHOBH. As the marriage’s deterioration becomes a central storyline for Season 15, the actress is reportedly leaning into her OnlyFans career—which Phypers claims he is entitled to 50% of—to manage the mounting legal and personal costs.
