Margaret Josephs has officially bid farewell to The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
In a raw Instagram video posted Tuesday, March 24, the 58-year-old reality star confirmed she will not return for season 15 of the long-running Bravo series.
What fans may have sensed as a quiet shift has now become undeniable: after more than a decade of on-screen battles, betrayals and unbreakable bonds, Josephs is walking away for good.
“I’ve been thinking about a lot of different things, and I am moving on from the Housewives of New Jersey,” she said in the clip, filmed against the crashing waves of a sunlit beach.
Dressed casually, with wind tousling her hair, Josephs looked every bit the woman ready to close one chapter and begin another.
“Sorry I don’t look a little more glamorous for you,” she added with a self-deprecating smile that only deepened the emotional weight of her words.
The decision, she revealed, has been in motion since December.
Josephs has spent months in private conversations with Bravo executives and Andy Cohen himself, weighing her future on the franchise that catapulted her to fame.
“I think the timing is right,” she said firmly.
Her life has transformed in ways viewers rarely see: a new project is already filming, pulling her in a fresh creative direction, while family, her design business and the simple need for peace have finally taken center stage.
“I realized I have to spend more time with my family, work on my designing and just take a break and move on.”
Yet even as she steps away, Josephs’ voice cracked with unmistakable affection for the world she is leaving behind.
She thanked Bravo, Cohen and the entire production team before turning her attention to her castmates.
“The good and the bad, I really do love you all,” she said, the words landing like both a heartfelt goodbye and a subtle reminder of the explosive drama that has defined the show for years.
The exit lands at a moment when The Real Housewives of New Jersey itself stands at a crossroads.
The season 14 reunion, once considered a guaranteed television event, was abruptly canceled last June, sending shockwaves through the fan base.
Insiders now confirm the network has been locked in tense deliberations over the show’s direction, with Cohen openly pushing for a major reinvention.
When fans suggested bringing in fresh faces, much like the successful reboot of The Real Housewives of New York, Cohen did not hesitate.
